Hot-plug components

ÊSlide the new power supply unit into the empty slot until it clicks into place.

IMake sure that the new power supply unit engages correctly in the mounting location and is locked in position. This is the only way to prevent the power supply unit from sliding out of its mountings and being damaged during transportation.

ÊThread the cable through the cable clamp (see figure 11 on page 60).

ÊPull the cable clamp tight to secure the power cord.

ÊConnect the newly installed power supply unit to the mains.

If everything is functioning correctly, the green LEDs 1 and 3 (see "Indicators on the hot-plug power supply units" on page 73) at the rear of the power supply unit will now light up.

ÊRemove the PSU dummy module as follows:

1.Press the two metal clips together (see arrows (1) in figure above).

2.Pull the PSU dummy module out of its slot (see arrow (2) in figure above).

ÊSlide the new power supply unit into the empty slot until it clicks into place.
