4.Make sure the following six directories exist on the open-system host. If not, create the directories using the mkdir command (e.g., # mkdir

/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults).

/usr/lib/X11

/usr/include

/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults

5.Move to the root directory.

6.For UNIX-based systems, copy the FAL/FCU software from the installation CD-ROM as follows:

# cpio -iBmuv < CD_device_file_name/d

Note: Use the full device file name: wildcards will not work.
