Shelf Life

The printer that is built-in to the scale system.

The surface of the printer that comes in contact with the label stock.

The number of days before a perishable product should be consumed or frozen (i.e., Use By, Freeze By or Best Before).

The percentage of the total product weight that is the “wrapper” for the individual piece.

An item that needs to be weighed before it can be priced.

An item which is priced by the number of items per package rather than by weight (i.e., 3 for $1.00)

Use this button to reset the scale to the Start a Run Screen in the unlikely event the scale stops responding to keyboard input.

Defines zero weight on weigher as the current weight on the platter. Used to add/remove platter tare or after Power-up when weight was accidentally left on the platter.

The Save/Recall Key is used to begin or end a macro function (creating, executing or deleting macros).

A printer attached to the scale system by means of a cable. It is typically used to print secondary labels or NutriFacts.

This number is the date that the store must sell the item. It is calculated by taking today’s date and adding it to the Shelf Life (from the item record).

The number of days that a perishable product may stay on the shelf.
