System setup menu

Use the SYSTEM SETUP menu to change product-configuration defaults such as sleep mode, product personality (language), and jam recovery.

To display: Press the Menu button , select the CONFIGURE DEVICE menu, and then select the SYSTEM SETUP menu.

NOTE: Values that have an asterisk (*) are the factory-default values. Some menu items have no default.

DATE/TIME	DATE	- - - - /[MMM]/[DD] YEAR =	Set the correct date. The range for
		[YYYY]/- - - /[DD] MONTH=	the year is 2009 to 2037.

	DATE FORMAT	YYYY/MMM/DD*	Choose the order in which the
		MMM/DD/YYYY	year, month, and day appear in the
			date.

	TIME	- - :[MM] [PM] HOUR =	Select a configuration for
		[HH]: - - [PM] MINUTE=	displaying the time.
		[HH]:[MM] - - AM/PM=
	TIME FORMAT	12 HOUR*	Select whether to use the 12
		24 HOUR	HOUR or the 24 HOUR format.
JOB STORAGE LIMIT		Continuous value	Specify the number of Quick Copy
		Range: 1–100	jobs that can be stored on the
			product.
		Default = 32
JOB HELD TIMEOUT		OFF*	Set the amount of time that Quick
		1 HOUR	Copy jobs are kept before being
			automatically deleted from the
		4 HOURS	queue. This menu item only
			appears when a hard disk is
		1 DAY	installed.
		1 WEEK
SHOW ADDRESS		AUTO	Specify whether the product’s IP
		OFF*	address is shown on the display
			with the Ready message.
QUIET MODE		OFF*	Reduce noise during printing.
		ON	When this setting is turned on, the
			product prints at a slower speed.
TRAY BEHAVIOR			Control how the product handles
			paper trays and related prompts at
			the control panel.
