Performance Cartridge Tapewill cause an invalid cartridge message if
it is loaded into a drive that is not Extended High Performance
Cartridge Tapecapable.

1. Ensure that the cartridge is not brokenand the leader block is
intact. See “Damaged Cartridges”on page87 and “Leader Block
Replacement”on page 90.
2. Ensure that the cartridge is a 3590 compatible-type cartridge.Also,
check the location of the tape and the leader block.
