
Chapter 6. Solving problems
This chapter contains information to help you solve some of the simpler problems that you might have with the storage subsystem. It describes the problem indicators, error messages, and suggested actions.
For instructions for obtaining service and technical assistance for the storage subsystem and other IBM products, see Appendix B, “Getting help and technical assistance,” on page 113.
Use the LEDs, the diagnostics and test information, the
Use Table 5 on page 100 and the DS3000 Storage Manager Recovery Guru to diagnose storage subsystem problems and component failures and find solutions to problems that have definite symptoms. Do not depend solely on Table 5 on page 100 for a replacement decision.
