Chapter 2 — Configuring the CK30

If you choose PEAP:

aSelect Properties and clear the Validate Server checkbox by tabbing to it and then pressing V.

bPress Enter. Once the radio starts to authenticate, the Network Password dialog box appears:

cEnter a User Name and Password and select the Save Password checkbox.

d(Optional) In the Domain field, enter the domain that you need to access to obtain the certificates.

ePress Enter. You return to the Communications menu.

6For Network Key Setting, choose Automatic.

7Exit the Configuration Utility.

Configuring Static WEP Security

The CK30 uses the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) protocol to provide your wireless networks the same level of protection as a comparable wired network. WEP adds security to wireless local area networks (WLANs) based on the 802.11b standard.

To use WEP security, you need:

• A CK30 handheld computer with an 802.11b/g radio.

To enable WEP security on the CK30

1Make sure you have configured the communications and radio parameters on your CK30.

2Press Cand then Bto open the System Main Menu.
