To increase the sound level for DVD VIDEO playback automatically

The DVD VIDEO’s audio sound is sometimes recorded at a lower level than for other discs such as VCDs or CDs.

If you have adjusted the volume level for a DVD VIDEO, the output sound may be unexpectedly loud when you start playing back a disc other than DVD VIDEO.

To avoid this inconvenience, this unit is preset to increase the sound level for DVD VIDEO playback automatically—the initial setting is “DVD LEVEL NORMAL” (off).

This function only works for software containing more than 3-channel surround.

This function does not affect any discs other than DVD VIDEO.

This function does not affect the audio output level through the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUTPUT terminal.

On the remote control ONLY:

To turn on and off the function, press DVD LEVEL

during play.

Each time you press the button, the setting and its indicator change and appear on the display as follows:

DVD LEVEL MIDDLE:

DVD LEVEL HIGH:
