To print the current fax settings, press OK. Load letter or A4 paper, then press .
The Fax Cover Page shows the date and headings for To and From information for your fax. Use this cover page, if needed, when sending your fax.

The Fax Activity Log contains information (date, time, duration, to/ from, number of pages and more) about the last 30 faxes sent and/or received. To print a Fax Activity Log, press OK. Load letter or A4 paper, then press .
Determines how the printer dials a fax number.
Tone dialling (the more common method) uses tones to dial a phone number. It is faster and more reliable than pulse dialling, which uses a series of pulses to dial a phone number. Traditionally, pulse dialling was used by rotary phones; tone dialling is used by
Error correction is applied only when sending
Error correction increases the sending time on poor phone lines, but the transmission is more reliable. (Error correction does not apply to faxes being received.)
To adjust fax settings from the Online Printer Management Tool:
1.Open the Online Printer Management Tool in a browser (see Accessing the Online Printer Management Tool, 11).
2.Select the Settings tab, then select Fax > Settings.
3.Change the Sender Information and/or fax Settings as needed.
4.Click Save to update the settings.
Setting the answer mode (auto answer or manual)
The default setting is for Auto Answer to be on. When Auto Answer is on, the printer picks up all incoming faxes automatically.
To answer calls manually, turn off Auto Answer. (See Receiving a fax manually , 67.)
