Dynamic DNS

Youcan configure your router to register its dynamically assignedIP address with a dynamic DNS

serviceby configuring Menu 1.1, shown in Figure 8-10. To use this feature, you must have an

accountw ithDynDNS.org. Refer to www.dyndns.org for more information.

Field Description
ServiceProvider Selectyour dynamic DNS service provider.
Active Use this field to activate ordeactivate dynamic DNS registration.
Host Enterthe static host name that will link to your dynamic IP address.
EMAIL Enteryour email address for administrativecontact.
USER Enter the username of your dynamic DNS service account.
Password Enter the password of your dynamic DNS service account.
EnableWildcard DynDNS.orgallows the use of wildcards in resolving your URL. Enabling the
wildcardfeature for your host will cause *.yourhost.dyndns.org to be
aliasedto the same IP address as yourhost.dyndns.org.
