Chapter 5Advanced Configuration of the Router

This chapterdescribes how to configure the advanced features of your Model RP114Web Safe

Router.These features can be found by clicking on the Advanced heading in the Main Menu of the

browser interface.One advanced feature, Content Filtering, is described in the previous chapter.

System Settings

The firstfeature category under the Advanced heading is System settings. These are general

purpose settings.

System Tab

The System Tabcontains fields for setting the System (Host) Name and Domain Name. These

parametersmay be necessary to access your ISP’s services such as mail or news servers.

•SystemName

Thisis the host or account name given by your ISP for naming your PC. It is often the primary

email nameof your account.This name can be up to 30 alphanumeric characters long. Spaces

are not allowed,but dashes "-" and underscores "_" are accepted.

•DomainName

This is the extendeddomain suffix that follows your ISP server names. For example, if your

ISP’smail server is mail.sfbay.myISP.com,then your Domain Name is sfbay.myISP.com.
