LAN Setup
The second featurecategory under the Advanced heading is LAN Setup. This menu allows
configurationof LAN IP services such as DHCP and RIP. From theMain Menu of the browser
interface,under Advanced, click on LAN to view the LAN Setup menu, shown in Figure 5-1

DHCP

The ModelRP114 router have the capability to act as a DHCP server, allowingthem to assign IP,
DNS, and defaultgateway addresses to attached PCs. The assigned default gateway address is the
LAN address of the router.IP addresses will be assigned to the attached PCs from a pool of
addressesspecified in this menu. Each pool address is tested before it is assigned to avoid
duplicateaddresses on the LAN.

For most applications,the default DHCP and TCP/IP settings of the router are satisfactory.These
defaultsettings are:
DHCP serverenabled with 32 client addresses starting from 192.168.0.1.
