Encapsulation Choosefrom Ethernet, PPPoE, or PPTP.
Ifyour service provider does not require a login program, leave Encapsulation as
Ethernet.
Ifyour service provider uses PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), select Encapsulation as
PPPoE,and enter these additional parameters:
• Enter the PPPoE login user name and passwordprovided by your ISP. These
fieldsare case sensitive.
Europeanversions only: If your service provider uses Alcatel's ANT (ADSL
NetworkTermination) with PPTPas a login method, select Encapsulation as PPTP,
and enter these additional parameters:
• Enter the PPTP login user name and password provided by your ISP.These
fieldsare case sensitive.
ServiceType Choosefrom Standard, RR-Toshiba (RoadRunner Toshibaauthentication method)
orRR-Manager (RoadRunner Manager authentication method). Choose a
RoadRunner flavor if your ISP is Time Warner's RoadRunner; otherwise ch oose
Standard.
ServiceName Ifyour connection supports multiple ISPs, enter the the Connection ID/Namefor
theone you use. Otherwiseleave Service Name blank.
Outgoing:
MyLogin Name Ifyour service provider requires a login program, enter the login name assignedto
youraccount.
MyPassword Ifyour service provider requires a login program, enter the password assigned to
youraccount.
ServerIP If your service provider providedan authentication server address, enter it as
Server IP address.
EditIP Options Thisfield edits the parameters of the TCP/IP protocol. Select Yesand press [Enter]
todisplay Menu 11.3 - Remote Node Network Layer Options. For more information
aboutconfiguring IP options, see “Editing IP Options”onpage8-6.
SessionOptions:
EditFilter Sets SelectYes and press [Enter] to display Menu 11.5,Remote Node Filter if you have
configureda filter in Menu 21 and wish to apply it as a Call Filter or Data filter for
thenode. For more information about configuring filter options, see “Editing Filter
Sets”onpage8-8.
