Test LED Never Blinks or LED Stays On

When the router is turnedon, the Test LED blinks for about 30 seconds at a rate of approximately
0.5 Hz andthen turns off. If the Test LED does not blink, or if it stops blinking andstays on, there
is a fault within the router.
If you experienceproblems with the Test LED:
Cycle thepower to see if the router recovers and the LED blinks for the correct amount of
time.
If the errorpersists, you might have a hardware problem and should contact technical support.

LNK/ACT LEDs Not On

Ifeither the LAN LNK/ACT LED or WAN LNK LED does not light when the Ethernetconnection
is made, check the following:
Make surethat the Ethernet cable connections are secure at the router and at the hub or
workstation.
Make sure thatpower is turned on to the connected hub or workstation.
• Besureyouareusingthecorrectcable:
Whenconnecting the router’s WAN port to a cable or DSL modem, use the cable that was
suppliedwith the cable or DSL modem. This cable may be a standard straight-through
Ethernetcable or an Ethernet crossover cable.
Troubleshooting the Web Configuration Interface
If you areunable to access the router’s Web Configurationinterface from a PC on your local
network, checkthe following:
Check theEthernet connection between your PC and the router as described in the previous
section.
Make sure yourPC’s IP address is on the same subnet as the router. If you are using the
recommendedaddressing scheme, your PC’s address should be in the range of 192.168.0.2to
192.168.0.32.Refer to “Verifying TCP/IP Properties (Windows)“on page 3-4 or “Verifying
TCP/IP Properties(Macintosh)“ on page 3-6 to find your PC’s IP address. Follow the
instructionsin Chapter 3 to configure your PC.
