4-8 Basic Configuration of the Router
E-Mail
Inorder to receive logs and alerts by email, you must provide your email information in the E-Mail
tab:
•MailServer
Specifiesthe name of your outgoing (SMTP) mail server. Youcan enter either the server name
(such as mail.myISP.com)or its IP Address. If you leave this box blank, log and alert
messagesare not sent via e-mail.
•E-mailTo
Specifiesthe e-mail address to which logs and alerts are sent. This e-mail address will be used
as the Fromaddress. If you leave this box blank, the log is not sent via e-mail to anyaddress.
Youcan specify that logs are automatically sent to the specifiede-mail address with these options:
• Send immediatealert upon attempted access to a blocked site
Check thisbox if you would like immediate notification of inappropriate access attempts.
• Log Schedule
Specifieshow often to send the logs: Hourly, Daily,Weekly, or When Full.
• Day for Sending Log
Specifieswhich day of the week to send the log. Relevant when the log is sent weekly or daily.
• Timefor Sending Log
Specifiesthe time of day to send the log, using 23:59 notation. Relevant when the log is sent
daily.
