Controlling a Satellite Receiver or Cable Receiver

By pressing the Remote Mode button that’s been pro- grammed with the remote control code for your satellite receiver, cable receiver, or DVD recorder (DBS/PVR combination or cable/PVR combination), you can con- trol your player with the following buttons.

For details on entering a remote control code for a differ- ent component, see page 122.

Press the appropriate Remote

Mode button first

aOn/Standby button

Set the video recorder to On or Standby.

bGuide button

Displays the onscreen program guide.

cArrow [q]/[w]/[e]/[r] and Enter buttons

Used to navigate menus and select items.

dSetup button

Displays the setup menu.

eSearch, Repeat, Random, and Play Mode

		buttons
1	7	Function as colored buttons or A, B, C, D buttons.
		f Number buttons
		Enter numbers. The [+10] button works as a +10
		button or “-.--” button.
	8	g Display button
		Displays information.

		h Muting button (56)
	bk	Mutes or unmutes the AV receiver.
		i CH +/– button
2	bl	Selects satellite/cable channels.
		j VOL [q]/[w] button (54)
3		Adjusts the volume of the AV receiver.
		k PREV CH button
4	bm
		Selects the previous channel.
	bn	l Return button
		Exits the menu.
	bo	m Audio button
		Selects foreign language soundtracks and audio for-
		mats (e.g., Dolby Digital or DTS).
5		n [1], [3], [2], [5], [4], [7], [6]
		buttons
		Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind, Fast forward, Previous,
		and Next.
6		o CLR button
		Cancels functions and clears entered numbers.
