Speaker Settings

If you change these settings, you must run the auto- matic speaker setup again (see page 49).

If the impedance of any speaker is 4 ohms or more but less than 6, set the minimum speaker impedance to 4 ohms.

If you’ve connected your front speakers to the FRONT L/R and SURR BACK L/R terminal posts for bi-amping, you must change the “Speakers Type” setting. For hookup information, see “Bi-amping the Front Speak- ers” on page 18.

Notes:

When bi-amping is used, the AV receiver is able to drive up to 5.1 speakers in the main room.

Before you change these settings, turn down the vol- ume.

1Press the [Receiver] button, fol- lowed by the [Setup] button.

The main menu appears onscreen.

If the main menu doesn’t appear, make sure the appropriate external input is selected on your TV.

2 Use the Up and Down [q]/[w] but- tons to select “2. Speaker Setup”, and then press [Enter]. The “Speaker Setup” menu appears.

ance”, and then use the Left and Right [e]/[r] buttons to select: 4ohms: Select if the impedance of any speaker is 4 ohms or more but

less than 6.

6ohms: Select if the impedances of all speakers are between 6 and 16 ohms.

Press the [Setup] button.

 

 

The setup menu closes.

Note:

This procedure can also be performed on the AV receiver by using its [Setup] button, arrow buttons, and [Enter] button.
