Controlling a Cassette Recorder

By pressing the Remote Mode button that’s been pro- grammed with the remote control code for your cassette recorder, you can control your cassette recorder with the following buttons.

The [Tape] button is preprogrammed with the remote control code for controlling an Onkyo cassette recorder when used with an uconnection.

On twin cassette decks, only Deck B can be controlled.

aOn/Standby button

Turns the cassette recorder on or off.

bPrevious and Next [7]/[6] buttons

The Previous [7] button selects the previous track. During playback it selects the beginning of the current track. The Next [6] button selects the next track.

Depending on how they were recorded, the Previous and Next [7]/[6] buttons may not work prop- erly with some cassette tapes.

cRewind and Fast Forward [5]/[4] buttons

The Rewind [5] button starts rewind. The Fast Forward [4] button starts fast forward.

dReverse Play [t] button

Starts reverse playback.

ePlay [1] button

Starts playback.

fMuting button (56)

Mutes or unmutes the AV receiver.

gVOL [q]/[w] button (54)

Adjusts the volume of the AV receiver.

hStop [2] button

Stops playback.

Note:

An Onkyo cassette recorder connected via ucan also be controlled in Receiver mode.

*With some components, certain buttons may not work as expected, and some may not work at all.
