Error Message Causes and Solutions
Incorrect security code. This error is displayed if the security code entered
to enter the [General Setup] or [Camera Setup]
screens in incorrect.
• Enter the correct security code. If you've
forgotten it, press the FACTORY DEFAULT
RESET button to reset the device and re-
register the camera using Quick Setup.
Cannot connect
to camera.
This error is displayed when the camera cannot
be accessed.
• Check the camera's power and connections
and its IP address as displayed in the Camera
Settings.
• If using wireless cameras, refer to the wireless
communications information on page6.
Cannot communicate with
the camera.
This error is displayed when the camera cannot
be accessed.
• Check the camera's power and connections
and its IP address as displayed in the Camera

This error is displayed if a camera's access is lost
when changing local camera settings.
