Troubleshooting: Why Doesn’t the Speakerphone Work?

If your speakerphone doesn’t work, your system administrator disabled the speakerphone option. You must use the handset or a headset to answer and place calls. If your system administrator has disabled the speakerphone on your phone, Handsfree mode disabled displays on the screen after

you press .

Power Tip: Setting Your Headset As The Default Mode for All Calls

If you frequently use a headset, you can set your phone to automatically answer calls using the headset. To enable the headset as the default mode for calls, see Enabling Headset Memory Mode.

Answering Incoming Calls

All incoming calls display in an Incoming Call window, as shown next.

You can answer incoming calls by:

Picking up the handset.

Pressing Answer. The call is answered using the speakerphone.

Pressing . The is green when in use.

Pressing . The is green when in use.

Pressing the line key of the incoming call. The line key of the incoming call blinks green and the call is answered using the speakerphone.

If you’re already in handset, speakerphone, or headset mode, press Answer, and the phone automatically uses the mode you’re currently using.
