11-2 Line Failure

If transmission IS not successful, the Caution indicator blinks and an Error Report IS printed. Check this report and retransmit pages that were not sent to those locations marked with an “E” In the Results column

Press the stop key to stop the indicator from blinking.

11-3 Operating Difficulties

– During Standby –

Transmission cannot take place, Caution indicator blinks

– During Reception –

The telephone keeps ringing and no fax IS printed

No printout, Caution Indicator bllnks

No printout, Replace Paper Indicator IS lit

– During Polling –

Dlallng took place but polllng cannot

– Poor Copy Quality –

Stripes on copy

●Switch the power on

●The document is jammed in the feeder

Remove the jammed document (refer to pagel 1 -1) and repeat the transmission procedure

●The remote machine is out of order. Check the error report

Ask the remote operator to correct the fault

●The line is busy or noisy

Check that the dial tone IS sent out. Check the transmission report Try to retransmit.

●You are m TEL mode Change to FAX mode

●The minter has lammed.

Clear the jam (refer to page 11 -2). The roll is empty.

Replace the roll (refer to page 7-14)

ID codes do not match.

Co-ordinate ID codes with the remote terminal

Clean the exposure glass (refer to page 7-1 5)
