Connect to virtual private networks

Virtual private networks (VPNs) allow entry into secured local net- works from the outside. Corporations, schools, and other institu- tions use VPNs to grant access to local network resources when people are not on campus or connected to a wireless network.

To configure VPN access, you must first obtain the details from your network administrator. Depending on your organization’s so- lution, you may need to obtain a VPN app, either from your admin- istrator or on Google Play.

Only the tablet’s owner can create, edit, and activate a VPN. Once activated, the VPN settings apply to all users.

The VPN settings screen allows you to add VPN net-

works and adjust their settings. To view this screen

1.From the VPN screen, touch Add VPN profile.

2.In the form that appears, fill in the information provided by your network administrator

3.Touch Save.
