Back. Opens the previous scree n you were working in, eve n if it
was in a different app. Once you ba ck up to the Home screen,
you can’t go back any furthe r in your history.
Home. Opens Home. If you’re on a left or r ight Home screen,
this button opens the centra l Home screen.
Recent apps. Opens a list of thumbnail images of a pps you’ve
worked with recently. To open an app, touch a nd double-tap.
To remove a thumbnai l from the list, use two ngers to swipe
it left or right.
After a short time without g etting used, these b uttons may shrink
to dots or fade away, depending on the cur rent app. To bring them
back, double-tap in t heir approximate locati on.
You can use easy gestures to activate the Navig ation buttons and
access your notications. S wipe with a single motion:
Up then right: Open continuous reading menu
Up then left: Home button
Down then right: Open global context menu
Down then left: Back butto n
Right then down: Open noticati ons
Left then up: Recent apps but ton
Just above the Navigation button s in portrait mod e, or on the right
side of the screen in landscape mode, you’ll nd the Favorites tray.
