Hot Standby

SystemThe components in both backplanes must meet the version requirements listed. You must install a splitter and a self-terminating F adapter between the original RIO head processor and the RIO network. A second cable runs from the splitter to the Standby RIO head processor, through a second self-terminating F adapter.

In general, you may follow the installation directions in this Chapter. However, as a precaution, you should first stop the controller and disconnect power to the system.
