3. Acceptance Tests

This section provides acceptance test procedures. Follow these procedures carefully to avoid possible injury and equipment damage. When testing the 7SA511 relay, you should be familiar with all applicable safety regulations from ANSI, IEC, NEC, and other pertinent standards.

Be sure that you are using the correct tests for your relay configuration. If a test is not applicable to your relay model number and configuration do not attempt to perform the test.

In the following chapters, the protection functions provided by the relay are referenced with the IEC designations shown in the list below. This nomenclature is used in the text, the tables and the LCD. The corresponding ANSI designations are also indicated.
