7SA511 Line Protection Relay

Acceptance Tests

Note: Inaccurate test results may indicate that the relay settings being used are incorrect. Always verify the relay settings for each test before beginning the test. If you repeatedly receive inaccurate test results and the relay settings are correct for the test, immediately contact the relay manufacturer.

CAUTION

Excessive test currents.

Test currents larger than 4IN may damage the relay if applied continuously.

Refer to the Specifications for overload ratings.

CAUTION

Excessive test voltage.

Test voltages larger than 140 V may damage the relay if applied continuously.

Refer to the Specifications for overload ratings.

3.4 Power Supply Test

This procedure will check the power consumption of the 7SA511 and the alarm relay contacts. 1. Connect test equipment to the relay as indicated in the Table 3-2.
