Syncing custom databases

De-activating and re-activating a custom database

You can activate or deactivate a custom database using the sync Action setting in your configuration document in the Pylon Configuration database. This option is useful in managing the amount of Notes information you sync to your device. For example, if you have not made any changes to your database since your last sync, you can deactivate it to reduce sync time and free memory on your device. Later, when you need it, you can re-activate it.

De-activating a custom database

To de-activate a custom database from syncing, change the sync action setting for the database filter to Do Nothing. For instructions, see “Setting sync action” (page 141).

Re-activating a custom database

To re-activate syncing a custom database, change the sync action setting for the database filter from Do Nothing to any of the other three available sync action settings. For instructions, see “Setting sync action” (page 141).
