If your sync is not successful and you receive an error message, it is most likely the fault of a licensing mismatch. For instructions on how to solve this problem, see “Troubleshooting: Syncing” (page 184).

Using Mail on Pocket PC OS

1.Sync your device.

For instructions, see “Syncing other Pocket PC OS devices not running Windows Mobile 5” (page 98).

2.On your device, tap StartInbox. On some devices you may need to tap StartProgramsInbox.

The Inbox application appears. You will see your Lotus Notes Mail there.

Note Any mail larger than 64K is truncated on the device. This is a Lotus Notes limitation.

Deleting Mail on Pocket PC OS

Follow these steps to delete the mail from your Pocket PC OS device.

If the sync action is set to “Synchronize the files,” mail items you delete on your device also will be removed from your Lotus Notes Inbox when you sync.

To delete Mail on your device:

1.In your Inbox, tap the Mail item you wish to delete. The item will open.

2.At the bottom of the item, tap the red X.

The item moves to the Deleted Items folder."

3.Delete as many items as you wish.

4.In your Inbox, tap ToolsEmpty Deleted Items.

When you sync your device, the items will be removed from your Lotus Notes Mail.

The Empty Deleted Items command may not work on Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 devices, in which case you will need to manually delete items from the Deleted folder on your device.
