Using the Palm Find function with Pylon Pro

You can use the Palm device Find function to search for any text string in a Pylon Pro database.

To use the Palm Find function:

1.From the Pylon Pro Workspace, tap the Find silk screen button. The Find dialog box appears.

2.Enter a partial or full text string.

3.Click OK.

A Find screen appears with all matches found.

4.Tap on any record item to open that record.

Deleting a database

You can delete databases from the Pylon Pro Workspace View on your Palm OS device.

Databases deleted on the device will not be deleted from the desktop.

To delete a database from your Palm OS device:

1.In Workspace View on your device, tap the Additional Features drop-down arrow associated with a database.

2.Select Delete DB... from the drop-down menu.

3.Tap OK to confirm deletion.

The database is removed from your device.

To retrieve deleted databases on your device, set the sync action of the filter associated with the deleted database to Desktop overwrites Handheld. For instructions, see “Setting sync action” (page 141).
