Setting up Pylon for multiple users

7.Create custom filters for each PIM application or custom database that the additional user will synchronize. In order to avoid confu- sion when working with multiple users nd multiple filters, it is a good idea to give the filters names that identify the user and the fil- ter’s purpose, such as MMiller - Inbox, MLongust - Inbox.

For information about creating new filters for each application, see the individual chapters in “Syncing Lotus Notes PIM applications” (page 55) and “Syncing custom databases (Pylon Pro only)” (page 131).

8.When you have finished creating new filters for the additional user, click Configurations in the navigation pane.

9.Select the additional user’s configuration in the view pane, then click Edit Configuration.

10.In the configuration document, select the new filters you created for each PIM application and Pylon Pro custom database.

11.Set the sync action for each filter, then click Save and Close.

12.With the additional user’s Pocket PC OS device in the cradle, open ActiveSync on the desktop.

13.Click ToolsAdd/Remove Programs.

14.Check the boxes for Pylon and (if applicable) Pylon Pro, then click OK to install Pylon to the device.

15.Remove the device from the cradle, then put it back in the cradle to reconnect.

16.Open ActiveSync on the desktop, then click ToolsOptions.

17.In the Sync Options tab, check the checkbox for Pylon, then click OK.

18.Perform a sync to receive Lotus Notes PIM and custom database information on the additional Pocket PC OS device.
