3.2.1. M501-TRS Ventilation Clearance:

Whether the M501-TRS is set up on a bench or installed into an instrument rack, be sure to leave sufficient ventilation clearance.

AREA	MINIMUM REQUIRED CLEARANCE
Back of the instrument	10 cm / 4 inches
Sides of the instrument	2.5 cm / 1 inch
Above and below the instrument.	2.5 cm / 1 inch

NOTE

If the M501-TRS is installed in an instrument rack or any type of enclosure, make sure

that the rack/enclosure itself is adequately ventilated.

Failure to provide proper ventilation can result in the ambient temperature exceeding

the maximum operating temperature specification for the M102E (40°C)
