Placing originals on the glass

2	Do not place heavy objects (9 lb. or more) on the original glass and do not press on it with force. Breaking
	the glass could injure you.

1 Raise the Reversing Automatic Document Feeder.

• Raise it 60 degrees or more for detecting the original.

2 Place the original face down on the origi- nal glass and align it against the left rear corner of the glass.

3 Lower the Reversing Automatic Docu- ment Feeder slowly.

•When you want to copy originals with high transparency such as OHP films or tracing paper, place a blank sheet of paper, the same size as the original or larger, over the original.
