Entering Numbers, Symbols, Smileys and Preset Messages

Toenternumbers:

▶Select the Number mode and press the appropriate key. (See “ Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 29.)

Toentersymbols:

▶Select the Symbols mode. (See “ Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 29.) To enter a symbol, press the appropriate key indicated on the display.

Toentersmileys:

▶Select the Smileys mode and press the appropriate key. (See “ Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 29.)

Toenterpresetmessages:

1.Select the PresetMsg.mode. (See “ Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 29.)

2.Scroll to the desired preprogrammed message and

press .

Note: Presetmessages make composing textmessages even easier by allowing you to enter presetmessages, such as “ Meetme at,” “ Let's get lunch,” or a customized message of your own. (For more information on presetmessages, please see “ Managing PresetMessages” on page 49.)
