Changing the BacklightTime Length
The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and keypad are backlit after any keypress is made.
Tochangethebacklightsetting:
1.Select Menu>Settings>Display>Backlight.
2.Select MainDisplay or Keypad.
3.Select a time setting and press 
.
■MainDisplay TimeSetting: 10 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec, Flip Open, Always Dim.
■KeypadTimeSetting: 10 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec, Flip Open, Always Off.
4.To return to the previous page, press 
or Close

).
Note: Long backlightsettings affectthe battery's talk and standby times.
Changing the TextGreeting
The text greeting can be up to 16 characters and is displayed on your phone's screen in standby mode. You may choose to keep the phone's default greeting, or you may enter your own custom greeting.
Todisplayorchangeyourgreeting:
1.Select Menu>Settings>Display>Greeting. (The default greeting is displayed.)
2.Use the keypad to enter a custom greeting and press
or Done (
) to save it. (To erase the existing
greeting one character at a time, press 
. To erase
the entire greeting, press and hold 
)
