10.8 Assist Button Programming
Withthis feature you can program an “assis t” buttonon your telephone
that will let you send a message to an LCD speakerphone. By pushing
this buttonyou can let a party at another station know,with a tone and a
station message display,that you need assistance with a call.
Then, after receivingthe tone and the display message, that person can
join the call or monitor it through executiveoverride or service
observing.
Toprogram an assist button,
1. Press INTERCOM ✳✳1.
2. Press programmable buttonyou want as assist button.
3. Dial 7.
4. Dial to choose system-providedmess age. (System message =
“ASSIST”plus name or extension number of station sending
message.Name or extension is automatically added by system.)
—OR—
Dial 0-9to choosepreprogrammed message (see attendant for
list of messages).
5. If one particular station must alwaysreceive message, dial
extensionnumber of that station; otherwise, press SPEAKER to
end.
10.9 TransferButton Programming
This program lets you set up a button to be used for transferring calls to
voice mail.
Toassign a “transfer to voice mail” button:
1. Press INTERCOM ✳✳1.
2. Press the programmable buttonyou want to use.
3. Dial 6.
4. Dial extension number.
5. Press SPEAKER to end.
