2.4 NamingThe System Telephones
If you havean LCD speakerphone, this feature lets you know who is
calling you. Youcan assign either a personal name or a group name to
each system telephone. This name can contain up to sevenletters and
will show up in the user’sdisplay and/or in the c alled party’sdisplay.
Typicalnames could be SRVC, MKTG 1, K SMITH.
Name the system telephones as follows:
1. Useletter code table (page 2-9) to compose names for all
telephones requiring them (the system accepts up to seven letters
per name),
2. PressINTERCOM,
3. Dial #06,
4. Dialthe station number of the telephone to be named (10-57),
5. Dial #to clear current entry,
6. Dialtwo-digit codes that correspond to letters in name,
7. Dialto continue entering station names (repeat above steps
beginningwith station selection 10-57),
8. PressSPEAKER to end,
9. Recordnames on pages 2-10–2-11.
