8.23 Using The IMIST ModuleImpact SCS 8324F-**, 8324S-**, and 8312S-** speakerphones
equipped with the optional IMIST module can support an IST device
(modem, FAXmachine, industry-standard telephone, etc.) in addition
to the LCD speakerphone.Depending on system programming, the IST
devicemay be used to make outgoing calls and receiveincoming calls.
The functionality of the IMIST module is similar to the optionalData
Interface Unit (see Section 8.22).
Functioning only on a DSU II system, the IMIST module does not have
its ownextension number and does not function simultaneously with
the speakerphone.
NOTE:The IMIST module does not provide voltage to light a message
waiting light. Message waiting lightson devices plugged into
the IMIST module will not function.

NOTE:The IMIST module has a separate power supply. The wall
transformer is a UL and CSA approvedClass 2 device
operating from 120 Vac,60 Hz, 16 watts and provides an output
of 24 Vacat 450 mA. For replacement, order Comdial P/N
DIU-PTR.
