Chapter 21 Troubleshooting

1Make sure you have entered the user name and password correctly. The default password is 1234. This fields are case-sensitive, so make sure [Caps Lock] is not on.

2You cannot log in to the web configurator while someone is using Telnet to access the NWA3000-N series AP. Log out of the NWA3000-N series AP in the other session, or ask the person who is logged in to log out.

3Disconnect and re-connect the power adaptor or PoE power injector to the NWA3000-N series AP.

4If this does not work, you have to reset the device to its factory defaults. See Section 21.6 on page 277.

I cannot access the NWA3000-N series AP via the console port.

1Check to see if the NWA3000-N series AP is connected to your computer's console port.

2Check to see if the communications program is configured correctly. The communications software should be configured as follows:

VT100 terminal emulation.

115200 bps is the default speed on leaving the factory. Try other speeds in case the speed has been changed.

No parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, data flow set to none.

I cannot use FTP to upload / download the configuration file. / I cannot use FTP to upload new firmware.

See the troubleshooting suggestions for I cannot see or access the Login screen in the web configurator. Ignore the suggestions about your browser.

I cannot access the Internet.
