1. | Remove the power supply plug from the outlet. |
|

2. | Raise the needle and the presser foot. |
|

3. | Loosen the presser foot screw to remove the presser foot holder. |

4. | Attach the quilting foot, making sure that part indicated by A in |
|
|
|
the illustration is above the needle clamp screw, then lower the Presser Foot Lever and tighten the presser foot screw.
*Be sure that the needle clamp screw is firmly tightened. (See fig. B)

CAUTION
•Be careful not to touch the needle when attaching the
•Use the screwdriver to tighten the presser foot holder screw securely. If the screw is loose, the needle may strike the presser foot and cause injury.
•Be sure to turn the handwheel toward the front of the machine to check that the needle does not strike the presser foot. If the needle strikes the presser foot, injury may result.
5.Lower the feed dogs by setting the Feed Dog Position Switch to the Down Position as shown on page 18.
6.Set the Pattern Selection Dial to Straight Stitch.
* Before starting to sew, draw the quilting design on the fabric.
7.Use both hands to keep the fabric firmly stretched and move the fabric to sew over the drawn design. (See fig. C)
