PRINCIPAL PARTS

1Bobbin winding assembly

Winds the thread onto the bobbin to be used for the lower thread.

2Spool pin

Holds the spool of thread.

3Bobbin winding tension disc and thread guide

4Thread take-up lever

5Thread cutter

6Upper tension control dial

Controls the tension of the upper thread.

7Stitch width dial Controls the stitch width.

8Pattern selection dial

Turn in either direction to select the desired stitch.

9Stitch length dial

Controls the length of the stitches.

0Reverse sewing lever

Push for stitching in the reverse direction.

AButtonhole fine-adjustment screw

BButtonhole lever (XL5300, XL5200, PX300 and PX200 only)

CHandle

DBalance wheel

Turn toward you (counterclockwise) to raise and lower the needle.

EMain power/sewing light switch

Turns the main power and sewing light on and off.

FFoot controller receptacle

Insert the foot controller plug for operation.

GPresser foot lever

Raises and lowers the presser foot.

HFoot controller

Used to control sewing speed start and stop.
