| 1 Peel off the damaged | |
| shim and rub off any | |
| adhesive left on the | |
| battery. | |
| 2 Remove the new shim’s | |
| paper backing. | |
| Important: The side shims | |
| (used only for batteries | |
| with serial numbers ending | |
| in AXW or E7L) are scored | |
| at one end. Ensure that the | |
| scored end wraps securely | |
| around the battery corner. | |
