which allows you to set threshold alarms and enable them. Table 6-4 displays
the information contained in this view. The Configure Alarms View also
displays an Error Source Table, which lets you select the types of errors that
will cause alarms. Table 4-2, in the Configuration View chapter, provides the
information contained in the Error Source Table.

Field Description
MIM Name The name of the module.
Serial Number The serial number of the MIM device.
MIM Type The type of module (i.e., IRM2).
Slot Number The number of the hub slot that contains the
module.
Ports On Out Of The number of operating ports on the device out of
the total number of ports.

Field Description
Model Name The user-defined or default name of the module
model.
MIM Name The name of the module device.
Slot Number The number of the hub slot that contains the
module.
Traffic Alarms Enables the sending of device-level traffic traps.
Traffic Threshold Alarm Permits a port to be disabled on a traffic threshold
alarm.
Traffic Threshold The threshold of packets within the Time Base that
will cause a traffic alarm.
Collisions Alarms Enables the sending of device-level collision alarms.
Collisions Threshold Alarm Permits a port to be disabled on a collision threshold
alarm.
Collisions Threshold The threshold of collisions per good packet that will
generate an alarm. Values can be 1 to 15.
Error Alarms Enables the sending of device-level error alarms.
Error Threshold Alarm Permits a port to be disabled on an error threshold
alarm.
Error Threshold The threshold of errors per good packet that will
generate an alarm.
