Loading paper in the multi-purpose tray ________

Follow the procedure below to load paper in the multi-purpose tray.

Open the printer cover using the printer

 

cover tab. (see p. 2-2)

Make sure the paper thickness lever is set

Raise the paper rest until it stops a, then

move the paper guide to the left to match

the size of your paper b.

• Do not set the paper thickness lever while the fax is printing since this will cause problems.

The paper thickness lever should always be set to m (left) for the best printing results.

Fan the stack of paper that you want to

feed into the fax. Then tap the edge of the

stack on a flat surface to even the stack.

Insert the stack into the multi-purpose tray

a, and align the right edge of the stack

with the right side of the multi-purpose tray. Then slide the paper guide snugly against the left edge of the stack b.

The multi-purpose tray holds up to 100 sheets of 75 g/m2 plain paper.

Make sure the stack does not exceed the paper limit mark (P).
