Installing the Infiniband Mezzanine Card

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician.
Youshould only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in
yourproduct documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service
andsupport team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not
covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came
withthe product.

Place the mezzanine card on the system-board assembly. See Figure3-14
and Figure5-11.

Replace the three screws that secure the mezzanine card to the back of the
system board tray. See Figure3-14.

Replace the screw that secures the mezzanine card side bracket to the
system board tray. See Figure3-14.

Replace the system-board assembly. See "Installing a System-Board
Assembly" on page 62.

Reconnect all the cables to the mezzanine card.

Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn on the system,
including any attached peripherals.
System Memory
Each system board has twelve unbuffered or registered DDR3-DIMM slots
for the installation of up to twelve DDR3-1066/1333 memory chips to support
processor 0 and processor 1. See "System Board Connectors" on page129 for
the location of the memory modules.

Supported DIMM Configuration

For the sequence of the twelve DIMM sockets, see Figure3-15. When you
insert the DIMM(s), always start with DIMM0_CHA. See Table3-2 for
possible memory configurations.
