The firmware update is complete when the lower message output area says "Device reset complete". Close the Device Manager program.

Genie cameras manufactured in 2007 or later will display the following status LED sequence while initializing with the new firmware.

Status LED will flash red then go off.

Both LAN LEDs will flash repeatedly for a short time.

Status LED will flash red then go off again.

Both LAN LEDs will flash repeatedly for a short time again.

Status LED will turn blue as normally happens during power up.

Wait for the GigE Server to find the Genie again, then run CamExpert to test the Genie operation (as described below).

Important: If the Genie power is accidentally cut off during the firmware update (such as a electrical source power failure or human error), the Genie is easily recovered. See "Power Failure During a Firmware Update–Now What?" on page 107.
