Preparation for Use

Power Requirements

The HP 8360 series synthesized sweepers require a power source of 115v (+10/-2501)o or 230V (+lO/-15%), 48 to 66 Hz, single-phase. Power consumption is 400 VA maximum (30 VA in standby).

Line Voltage and Fuse Selection

CAUTION

The synthesizer is provided with a voltage selector (located on the rear panel) to match the synthesizer to the ac line voltage available at the site of installation. Both the line selector and fuse were selected at the factory to match the ac line voltage expected to be found at the shipping destination. Verify that the voltage selector has .been set to the correct line voltage before connecting power to the synthesizer.

For continued protection against fire hazard replace line fuse only with same type and rating. The use of other fuses or material is prohibited.

Refer to the “Routine Maintenance” chapter for information on changing fuses.

Before switching on this product, make sure that the line voltage selector switch is set to the voltage of the power supply and the correct fuse is installed. Assure the supply voltage is in the specified range.
