Description This softkey lets you open the ALC loop. Direct and separate control of the linear modulator circuit (LVL DAC) and attenuator (ATN)

is possible (see Figure A-l). The power level must be set using an external indicator (power meter/sensor). If the power level is set when the synthesizer is in CW mode and then pulse modulation is activated, the peak pulse level equals the CW level. The attenuator value is set via the Set atten softkey in the POWER menu.

An asterisk next to the key label indicates that this feature is active.
