Chapter 5: Setting Up WAN Firmware and Hardware

Use the ISDN PRI Port Properties dialog box to view and set the ISDN port switch type. Also, in Europe, use this dialog box to select up the CRC type, or, in the US, to set up the CSU properties. The following topics provide detailed information about the setup parameters available on this dialog box.

Configuring the Switch Type

To configure the switch type, in the ISDN PRI Port Properties dialog box, select the appropriate switch type setting from the SWITCH Type drop-down list.

The following table describes the available switch types:

ETSI	The ETSI EUROISDN switch type (available in
EUROISDN	Europe)

NI1 (NT	A NORTEL NETWORKS® DMS-100 switch or an

CAUTION

Select the same switch type for all ports on a single board. Otherwise, the ports might not function properly.
