TIM508 Analog Telephony Interface Module

The TIM508 Analog Telephony Interface Module (Figure 42 on page 73), also known as the TIM508 analog media module, has eight analog telephone lines that can be used as trunk ports.

NOTE: All eight analog lines can be configured as analog direct inward (DID) trunks.

You can configure TIM508 ports as described in Table 38 on page 73.

Wink-start or immed-start DID trunk

Analog tip/ring devices such as single-line telephones with or without LED message-waiting indication

The TIM508 also provides the following features:

Three ringer loads, the ringer equivalency number for up to 2,000 ft (610 m), for all eight lines

Up to eight simultaneously ringing lines

Type 1 caller ID and Type 2 caller ID for lines

Ring voltage generation for a variety of international frequencies and cadences
