Loading Paper in the Paper Tray

This section describes instructions for loading paper whose size and feed di- rection is already set in the standard paper tray and optional PS440. If you want to change the paper size or feed direction, see P.32 “Changing the Paper Tray Size”.

If you want to load paper in PS420, see P.35 “Loading Paper in PS420 (Pa- per Feed Unit)”. If you want to load pa- per in Bypass Tray Type 270, see P.36 “Loading Paper in Bypass Tray Type 270”.

Loading Paper in the Paper TrayImportant

Confirm that the setting of the pa- per size dial matches the paper size and feed direction of the paper in the tray. If it does not, misfeeds or unexpected printing results might occur.

When you set thick paper in tray 2, do not stack paper above the lower limit mark (A) of tray 2.
